The SPB297 stands out as a modern re-interpretation of the "Father" of all Seiko diver's watches. Launched in 1965, it was Japan's first-ever diver's watch and proved its reliability during expeditions to the Antarctic in the 1960s. This trailblazing watch laid the foundation for the development of subsequent iconic Seiko diver's models and is fondly referred to by fans as the "62MAS."
